After catching them at Bloodstock last weekend I've been listening to a lot of Green Lung - like Black Sabbath filtered through early 70s folk horror films such as Witchfinder General, The Wicker Man and...er...Virgin Witch:
The latest from CHVRCHES 'Screen Violence' is on heavy rotation at the moment. Personal favourites are 'Asking for a Friend', 'Final Girl' and 'How not to drown'. The album is arguably a concept one as it uses imagery from horror films to shape the language.
The Killer's new album "Pressure Machine" is far more introspective and interesting than the more recent releases. There are shades of Springsteen in parts. It's definitely not what I expected; recognisably them but brilliantly different.
