The team who wrote Milieu 0 used the EIC operations as a basis for the start of Traveller’s Third Imperium. It caused a lot of push back at the time from some individuals because the felt it wasn’t heroic or realistic. Some naivety there as Empires and Colonialisation aren’t heroic or nice things except in the tales of the victor.
