Other Games Heroic Fantasy 2nd Edition Playtest

First Age

D&D h@ck3r and Hopepunk
I'd like to test out the current version of my The Black Hack based high fantasy game, which I hope to get to layout early this year.

The adventure is set in Kobod Press' Midgard out in the great forest of Margreve.

We should be playing for a few sessions from the end of January(ish), probably Wednesday evenings. In between time we can create characters in readiness for the game.

Let me know if interested?

The game is based on The Black Hack rules, which are rules light and based on the six traditional attributes. To achieve a task you roll a D20 and try to get under the attribute. There are twiddles on top, but that's essentially it.

The game draws on early D&D tropes, so you will have kin, class, hit points and, for some, spells and magic. All quite simple and familiar. I have embelished around the edges for the second edition. The two main additions is that armour now absorbs damage (ala Runequest) and there is an incrementing dice ladder which I use in various ways throughout the game.

I don't yet have a character sheet, but I expect it won't be necessary, and most things will also be recordable in the Role VTT when we get to it.

I have sent you all a rough PDF of the game, either here or on Discord.

Ignore the formatting, ordering and layout, though I'd take any comments on the text.

Happy for you to either roll or assign attribute scores.
Pick a Kin and Class
Alignment is either Good or Neutral
Hit Points are the combination of Kin and Class die - assume maximum result.
Create some Aspects

Bonds we will do together as we find out who you are.
