[FATE] Fate Virtual Club

I know we have briefly mentioned this before, but if you are interested in a Fate virtual club, where we can organise online games of Fate Accelerated and Fate Core, then please make yourself known in this thread.

I'm quite happy to run games and I know others maybe interested in playing and/or running games too.

I'll tip my hat into the ring. I've run Fate Core at conventions (which has gone OK), and played FAE with my local group (we didn't really get it). I'd be interested in seeing how other people do it.

That sounds good to me. I actually find approaches harder to parse than skills, so would be happy to give FAE a go.

I’m currently prepping my next Blake’s 7 scenario for FAE that I plan to run at North Star later this year. If anyone is interested in helping me test play it then please let me know.

I would be interested - would it mean I needed to refresh my memory by watching the early series again on Britbox? Because I could make that sacrifice for a good cause.

I’m thinking of setting the adventure after season two, as the original was set during season three; but in that adventure the players played Federation agents hunting Blake. My idea is the Liberator crew have to deal with the fallout from the previous scenario.

Blake's 7: Spoils of War

“I’m picking up a direct communication from the world of Hyperon,” says Orac rather smugly over the hum of his circuits working. “It is directed specifically to the Liberator and there is news of Blake…”

The crew of the Liberator receives a distress call from a resistance group on the planet Hyperon. Their leader is dead and their secret base has been overrun by Federation troops. The message continues to say that Roj Blake has been captured by the Federation and has been taken off world. In his continuing search for Blake, Avon, now in command of the Liberator, has a new lead and orders Zen to set course for Hyperon, speed standard by 10…

Over on the Tavern Discord, I’m organising a Fate Accelerated game. It’s aimed at both new and old players, but acts as an introduction to Fate. The session will played on Discord, voice only, using a dice bots, and will be purely theatre of the mind. Numbers are limited to 5 players and there are two places still open. We aim to play one Sunday morning sometime in mid to late April.
