After all the silly backlash about The Acolyte, it turns out it's the biggest streaming series on Disney+ this year so far, with over 11.1 million views in the first five days. The series beat X-Men 97, Doctor Who (worldwide), and Echo.

The Acolyte is currently the most streamed series of 2024 (so far) on all platforms in the US. The irony is that all the "fan" negativity surrounding the series on social media clearly has had the opposite effect. As PT Burnum once said, there's no such thing as bad publicity. Barnum believed that even negative attention could help his ventures by making them more famous, which it did.
